Dubrovnik Riviera
Dubrovnik private walking tours
- TOUR DESCRIPTION
This tour lets you get out of the busy city overflowing with tourists and escape to the picturesque places surrounding the city. As we’re leaving Dubrovnik, we take a look at it from above, from Srdj mountain, which is in our opinion the most beautiful view of Dubrovnik. Afterwards, we go to Cavtat, a quaint Dalmatian town with a wonderful promenade. Cavtat holds an important place in the history of Dubrovnik, since the refugees from Cavtat helped form the population of Dubrovnik.
Once we’re done exploring Cavtat, we go on to Konavle. This is a place where tradition still has a firm grip on the life of the locals. There are many old trades and contraptions used in such trades to be seen, many of them using power of water from the local river, which their ancestors wielded long ago. As opposed to the life of craftsmen, Konavle is also famous for its beautiful elite summer houses built by rich noblemen, which are still preserved.
After a lunch in a rustic restaurant, we go back towards the city to your accommodation.
The aim of this tour is to bring you back to the roots of Dubrovnik, and to show you where the wonderful city that you know today really began.
